How Diagdex handles account details, private repairs, AI processing, approved repair memory, and user choices.

Information Diagdex handles

DiagDex may process account details, technician preferences, vehicle or machine information, repair stories, AI usage records, and billing status.

Full VINs, serial numbers, private notes, and saved repair records are treated as private account data.
Payment card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by Diagdex.
Text supplied to AI features may be sent to the configured AI provider to produce the requested result.

How information is used

Information is used to operate your account, save and retrieve your repair memory, generate requested AI results, enforce usage and billing rules, secure the service, and improve reliability.

AI suggestions do not become technician-verified knowledge automatically.
Approved stories may improve your personal repair memory when you enable that setting.
Community sharing is a separate future option and is not required to use private repair memory.

Control and retention

You can review and edit repairs, control adaptive learning, reset learned preferences, and request data export or account deletion as those tools become available. Operational, security, tax, or legal records may need to be retained for a limited period.

Service providers and safeguards

DiagDex uses carefully selected services to keep the app running, protect accounts, process requested assistance, and handle billing. Access is restricted and private information is protected. No internet service can promise absolute security.
